This is amazing. I've had the extract for a long time and it smells gorgeous. Very sweet and spicy but perfectly balanced.

I sadly missed out on the real thing, but I absolutely love Millesime Iris and L’Essence, plus Tonka Sarrapia. So it was a good bet that I’d enjoy this. When it arrived, I sprayed it straight away (30ml EdP). I was instantly greeted by the recognizable DNA of the original brand, it’s unmistakable. Because of the strong brand identity, I assumed it would be quite hard to create something that smells like it (they use a signature accord that runs like a thread through the majority of their fragrances). I was wrong! You could smell this PP version anywhere and know the original brand.

This is a gorgeous, modern take on Shalimar (the OG is a bit challenging for me but the flankers are amazing). It has a lovely, almost (but not quite) gourmand quality, with the bitter almond top note coming across like amaretto or cherry. The tonka and vanilla are deep and autumnal, and the bergamot and iris are true to the Millesime line. The staying power is brilliant! I wore it on the first day, as soon as it arrived. I had to move some furniture around that evening and the fragrance stayed on my wrists despite the hot and sticky work. I was wondering if I should have chosen the extrait version but this is just as strong and long lasting than many extraits on the market. I think it’s one of the best PP fragrances that I own for longevity (and I own a lot). The scent stayed on my hoodie for days. It smells poised and refined.

The original version of this perfume sold out within days and now sells for silly money, so I’m really happy that PP have created this for those of us who missed out. I hope it’s available here for the long haul!

I have a sample of the original and tested them side to side just now. I must say: the original is better. It is more balanced and has more floralcy.
However, this is still nice and has the same vibe. I think it's great that this is around, especially since the original is now hard to find.

When you're wearing this, people will know you're in the room/building!! It's a gorgeous smell but, beware for the people sensitive to extremely strong powdery smells, you may not like this. I put this away for a couple of weeks after spraying and it's kinda matured quite nicely. Still strong, just deeper notes that come through a lot gentler than they were when I first sprayed. This perfume is definitely for a mature woman. Not necessarily older, just 30's, maybe even 40's and above. Someone who carries themselves in a certain, confident manner. Someone who, like this scent, has a presence. I haven't had the privilege of smelling the original but this is definitely a gorgeous scent.

As a massive Guerlain fan this is gorgeous well done PP
