Noire Illusion - 1746

This is a lovely dark scent which, to me, is not as gourmand as I expected. I get some burnt coffee, even very dark chocolates but I don't find this scent very sweet. The scent projects well at first and lasts for nine hours, though by this time the scent will sit close to the skin.

Having recently smelt the original I can confirm the accuracy of the PP version.

I wanted to base my reviews on more than just an unmeasured opinion, so I have used this method to rate all of my purchases at week 1 (under 7 days after delivery) and after week 4 (generally mentioned ‘maceration’ time). I always spray 2x each side in the clavicle, 1x behind each ear and the back of my neck, never on clothes.

With a total score of 10 equally split between smell and performance.

Checked at 1, 2, 3, 5 & 9 hrs)

I can certainly say that, without exception, every scent has improved in performance between weeks 1 & 4 and by week 12 many have developed further with tobacco and other warm notes becoming much richer.

That's a delicious dark hot chocolate... so comforting.

I was expecting this perfume to be more gourmet. I can smell the chocolate and coffee note with a faint hint of sweetness, but the most prominent smell I get is wood, actually it kinda smells like books to me, the smell of pages of paper. It's definitely interesting smell that keeps me sniffing my wrist, but I'm still trying to figure out how I feel about it

No experience with the original fragrance.
Smells like sweet coffee and chocolate with woody notes.
Not overpowering, not weak either, so comfortable. I love it!

Congratulations Perfume Parlour! This fragrance Noire Illusion is an absolute copy of Black Phantom by Kilian! Perfect unisex, it smells expensive, long-lasting and addictive! You won't regret it, it's worth a try!

This is my husband's favourite perfume for a number of years now and he's now on his 3rd bottle. The EDP and Extract both have great performance and this one you can still smell on clothing days later! The Extract version will linger in a room when my husband has left the house several hours before...I kid you not!!
We've had strangers come up to us to ask what perfume he is wearing!

Rich complex patchouli, coffee and chocolate. I put this on, it smells like home, that's the only way I can describe it.

I found this one extremely strong and long lasting, a little too strong to be honest, very close to original, just not to my taste to wear personally

Got an oil and have to agree with another reviewer that it smells kinda like peanut butter. In my opinion with some sort of woody herbish note to it which might be the heliotrope ? I don't rlly like it :(

Not for everyone this scent, but still a very nice distinctive smell.

Very rich texture scent. Almost identitcal as the OG. Sprayed on in the evening go plenty of compliments. Woke up in the morning and i kid you not, i could still smell it on my skin. Very impressed!

Have not tried the original & ordered based on the notes hoping for a unisex gourmand. On me, it's deep, dark, very masculine, and smells like some weird combination of tahini and peanut butter. Disappointed but I will commend potent sillage & longevity.

coffee chocolate with slight leather, feels like sitting at a fireplace (without the smoke) under a warm blanket sipping a rum coffee.
stay with EDP to allow projection imo

I can’t get over it. The first sniff is going to be a bit disappointing but give the perfume a chance. I can’t get over it, wish I bought 2 bottles instead of one. It is not a beast mode perfume but you’ll get comfortable in the scent.

Smells great, not tried the original but from my research is very close.

My absolute favourite

Very very close to the inspired but longer lasting with a similar projection and sillage. Longevity is even better. After an hour the Rum note drops off on the PP but barely noticeable even up close.

It's fantastic if you like chocolate rum coffee scent. Could smell this on my coat the next day. 10/10. Give it a try.

Was different from what I was expected. The rum punches through on this one with the chocolate. A more desired fragrance, I think. Would recommend.
