Jazzed Ember - 0854 - Roll & Extract

This is a patchouli, boozy, sweet stunner of a fragrance! The PP’s version is hands-down one of my favourite scents in the over 60 fragrances I have ordered from them. I originally ordered the 3ml roll on and the scent took me by surprise, it was just captivating. Very much in the warm hug type scents territory, like your Angels Share and Tobacco Vanilles. Not like them to smell, but has that overwhelming sweet warmth, Heaven!

I tried the original Tony Iommi Monkey Special at a Xerjoff® stand a few weeks after ordering my PP Roll-on & Extract spray. PP’s is missing some of the dry earthiness of the original, which I would say is some of the patchouli, in the opening. But I prefer the PP’s version here because it really delivered that sweet, boozy goodness. I wore this out with my family to the theatre with friends and my friend told me later that he was catching wafts of the scent all day.

This is one of the first Extracts I bought from PP. I will only ever buy them from now on, no more EDP’s of waiting times from here on in, the Extracts are 100% worth the extra cost. Everything from the packaging to the scent quality, on the day of delivery, makes them a no-brainer.

I wanted to base my reviews on more than just an unmeasured opinion, so I have used this method to rate all of my purchases at week 1 (under 7 days after delivery) and after week 4 (generally mentioned ‘maceration’ time). I always spray 2x each side in the clavicle, 1x behind each ear and the back of my neck, never on clothes.

With a total score of 10 equally split between smell and performance.

Smell: 0-5
This is obviously just my own taste

Checked at 1, 2, 3, 5 & 9 hrs)

I can certainly say that, without exception, every scent has improved in performance between weeks 1 & 4 and by week 12 many have developed further with tobacco and other warm notes becoming much richer.

Perfect very similar (90%) at the opening then they evolve very differently (10% similarity) but for the one (like me) who likes the top note, he will be delighted :)

Smells like whisky spilled on a bar that's been left for a fews days and gone stale. Makes sense that it's made for a guy from black sabbath. If you want to smell like you fell asleep in a dive bar, this one might be for you.

Just an intoxicating smelling scent that projects well with striking scent bubble that will garner compliments.10/10

I’m absolutely blown away by this. Great quality and a really unique fragrance. I haven't had chance to smell the original so cant comment on accuracy, but as a stand alone fragrance I’d put this in my top 10 with a collection of nearly 300 fragrances. I got a 2ml sample and will be definitely be ordering a bigger bottle.

Haven't smelt the original, just added it to my bundle as I'm a big Tony Iommi fan, and I was pleasantly surprised with the scent, very unique smell that I really like.

Honestly can't go wrong with PP, won't even bother wasting my time with any of the other clone houses now, I'll be sticking with this site from now on.

It’s ok - not really a blind buy frag

I like this one. Smells like a dark rum mojito with smoke and oud. Projects like a mofo and this is longest lasting rum/citrus scent that I have ever worn. Layered over molecule 01 will last all day. Would be a fantastic fragrance to wear to a beach bbq in the Caribbean!

Stands out from others in my collection. I get a lot of the rose, patchouli and some rum so it comes across like a dark chocolate, boozy Turkish delight to me.

TIMS, fabulous fragrance, very complex, totally original, passionfruit, patchouli, rose, cardamom, caramel blend is extraordinary, rock star to the max !!

This is a beautiful scent that took me by surprise. It isn't what I'd normally wear but at this time of year it's going to be great. Makes me think of boozy Turkish Delight dipped in dark chocolate. Great quality to this one, and it is pretty pungent stuff. How do they do it?!

This one was spot on from the beginning. Rum and cinnamon and very strong! There is a simularity to angel share.

This was a blind buy based on some reviews and I’m very pleased with it. The fragrance smells divine and constantly changes on the skin. It lasts about 5 hrs on my skin, really like this.

I don't know how the OG smells like. But is it necessary? I don't think so. This is an outstanding pachoulie based fragrance. Well balanced, with a good sillage. Stand out of the designer crowd? Then this is yours. 😉👍

This is a fantastic example if you are a fan of these kind of fragrances. I wouldn't say the OG is a blind buy so neither is this. If you know who Tony Iommi is, you can definitely understand the vision for this fragrance and this offering from PP gets at least 85% of it right! It's slightly more, dirty.. if you will, I think it's the kind of patchouli that is being used but I have the extract and it lasts a bloody long time and the scent is NOT linear, the dry down smells luscious but it is different you can definitely separate the dry down from the top notes.
