I own an original 5 ml miniature of Versace Eros Energy, as shown in the picture, and have compared it directly with Perfume Parlour’s Energetic Flame in both the roll-on perfume oil and Extrait formats. To my nose, this is about as close to a 1:1 clone as I could reasonably ask for.
Energetic Flame captures Eros Energy remarkably well, not merely the general character but the actual scent profile and progression. In a blind test, I genuinely do not think I could reliably tell them apart. Considering the difference in price, that makes Energetic Flame exceptional value and it has now become a staple in my collection.
As a fragrance, Energetic Flame/Eros Energy is essentially a very citrus-forward interpretation of the Aventus family of scents. More specifically, I think of it as being closest to Aventus Cologne: a huge, energetic burst of lemon, lime, bergamot, grapefruit and orange over a clean fruity-amber backbone, eventually settling into musk, patchouli and oakmoss.
Compared with Aventus Cologne, the citrus here smells somewhat brighter, sharper and more synthetic, but the trade-off is considerably more presence and longevity. If you enjoy the fresh, fruity-woody Aventus style but want the citrus turned up dramatically, Energetic Flame is very easy to recommend. For me, Perfume Parlour has reproduced Eros Energy extraordinarily closely at a fraction of the cost.
