The Scent

The composition starts with fragrant jilt tuberose, luscious rose, ylang-ylang blossom, aldehydes, sweet and mouthwatering pear, and green notes. The heart beats passionately in pure and sweetly fresh jasmine notes, seductive and balmy spicy and darkened iris root. The base whiffs with sensual musk, warm and milky-powdery sandalwood, with mild musky civet tones.

PERFUME OF THE CENTURY

Joy has recently won perfume of the Century for the 20th Century. One of the greatest perfumes ever to be created. I am waiting with bated breath when it will return, PP's extrait is extraordinary and as gorgeous as the original, this perfume is not only iconic but a masterpiece work of art. After buying the Extrait the longevity is much greater than the EDP. Here's to the perfume of the century and may its return be swift!

Smells Just like Joy from Jean Patou

Yes, it really does, only problem is it only lasts a second on my skin and then I can't smell it anymore. What a shame. I had such high hopes

AS CLOSE AS YOU'LL GET TO THE VINTAGE ORIGINAL BEFORE THE INFAMOUS REFORMULATION

I'm fortunate enough to have a bottle of the original made in the 60s. This PP version is as close as you'll get to the original. Both the original and the PP oil that I bought can be overpowering. So all you need is a dab or one slight spray. Then enjoy the ride as the scent evolves.

Option Review:15ml Spray Extract
Almost spot on to the real Jean Patou Joy, PP did an amazing job here. A lovely perfume, projects very well without it being in your face for around 3 hours, then settles down to more of a skin scent, but you can still smell it hours later and it's one of those when you think it has gone, it comes back. Lovely fragrance :)

I’ve never smelled the original, but after watching the advert I thought I’d give this version a go. It’s a beautiful, classy and feminine fragrance that actually reminds me a lot of Allure by Chanel, I love it and I’ll definitely repurchase.

I don't know the real Joy, but this is amazing. Must be spot on, such an incredibly beautiful perfume.

Another hit! I love it and have had a few comments while wearing it, asking what the fragrance was. I have ordered from this site three times and now have quite a collection, which have all been great. It's an amazing site and I will stick with it, instead of paying high street prices.

I have the real Jean Patou JOY.....and the PP copy is perfect, it may be a little weaker, which is no bad thing because I tend to find the original a little bit strong sometimes. I ordered the small 3ml rollerball size to see what it was like and I will be ordering a larger bottle for my sister as she also likes it but the real one is a little bit out of price range.....and to be honest...if I had known about PP before....I would have got mine from here. very pleased with this perfume/

Not sure about this one. I tried a small oil just to sample and I think an oily smell comes through, then after a while a pleasant fresh smell. Don't think this ones for me though.

Having not smelled the original i ordered this on the reviews but unfortunatly its not for me.

I don't know how they do it, but they make them even better than the originals and I own 5 bottles of vintage Joy and this is even lovelier.
