This particular EDP is miss for me.

I have smelt the original, and its brothers, and for me this has a slight resemblance in the dry-down after that nose stinging, lemon face punch you get in the opening. I'm not a freshy fan and this is just off the chart lemon. PP don't often miss, in my experience, but this might be one unfortunately. The only positive for me is that you don't have to put up with it for too long as I either go nose blind or it disappears after an hour or two.

I wanted to base my reviews on more than just an unmeasured opinion, so I have used this method to rate all of my purchases at week 1 (under 7 days after delivery) and after week 4 (generally mentioned ‘maceration’ time). I always spray 2x each side in the clavicle, 1x behind each ear and the back of my neck, never on clothes.

With a total score of 10 equally split between smell and performance.

Smell: 0-5
This is obviously just my own taste

Performance: 0-5
Checked at 1, 2, 3, 5 & 9 hrs)

I can certainly say that, without exception, every scent has improved in performance between weeks 1 & 4 and by week 12 many have developed further with tobacco and other warm notes becoming much richer.

Strong lemon smell, really nice dessert like smell. It lasts a very long time too

Excellent copy of the original. The only difference is the opening the store version has more of a shimmering effect when sprayed. The shimmering effect only lasts a minute or two, however, and then they are very close to identical. The drydown is over 90% identical. The store version has more spice, with more tonka and vetiver in the drydown; the oil version drydown is smoother and at least 3 times longer lasting. I prefer the drydown of the oil.

Lovely fresh lemon meringue pie, my favourite summer scent. Oil lasts a decent amount of time too.

Never tried original but this is one of my least favourite purchases off perfume parlour. Good performance though.

I bought this a while back and was very disappointed, purchased it again hoping that new batch is an improvement, very glad i did, whilst the lemon is still a tad bit strong and Vanilla slightly weak it is still a lovely scent and is very close to original.

Strong lemon tart on top and soft vanilla drydown. Love this one.

Yes the lemon is slightly sharp but so is the original. after a minute it turns into a creamy lemon with that A..... backbone. Lasts really long and its just beautiful stuff.

Great smell and close to original however too many lemon notes in the bottle I received.

Pretty close... it just needs more lemon notes to make it very close :)
