Qamar - 1343

Fantastic as always 👏 👌

This is an excellent take on the OG, lacks some of the depth and complexity but I still think it is an excellent value for money. Great performance.

The opening might not be to everyone’s tastes and in truth was a bit overpowering for me but, the dry down of the amber, sandalwood, oud and patchouli mix is something I quite like.

bought this EDP tester along with a load of other testers, as I have never smelt the original. it’s a nice fragrance, but have to give it at least 20 minutes to start to really appreciate the fragrance. I personally found its longevity to be good as I could still smell it on a jumper 2 days later.

I've used Perfume Parlour a few times to try out scents before I commit to a full bottle. There are some differences, but they are pretty close and I save money by trying a sometimes unsuitable scent for my tastes which I may have otherwise bought.

Bottles and atomisers are very good and the life of the scents are really rather excellent.

If you're looking for a good way to try and otherwise unobtainable scent, this is the way to do it.

Always easy to deal with too and the product range is expansive.

I will add that the scents I usually order from here are alternatives to quite high end, and I'm always impressed by how close to the original these really are.

I so wanted to like this perfume since the original is so expensive. If you’re looking for a dupe of “The Moon” this is not for you. It has a very strong sweetish note, very chemical and unpleasant. Decisively incomparable.
The perfume itself, without comparison, might be ok depending on tastes.
Absolutely not for me, it gives me headache and can’t get that chemical note out of my nose.
This review has nothing to do with Perfume Parlour as a company - the service and shipment and whole experience has been great!

I'm waiting a sample of Malle's The Moon to compare it with, but as Perfume Parlour keep pushing for a review now, here it is - Nothing special.

This is powerfull I really like it, the sillage is great .

I have the original and 1343 is a brilliant version. It’s deep rich gourmand long lasting great projection i absolutely love it

Qamar - 1343

We compared Qamar with Malle's The Moon, side-by-side in London, interestingly with the sales assistant at Malle. The openings were entirely different. We found Malle's original decidedly unpleasant but I'm no aficionado of fecal, animalic ouds. It was so pungent and loud it pretty much drowned out everything else. "No, no no! It's nothing like" said the lady. "I'm glad it isn't!" I thought to myself. It took about 10-15min for the barn-yard to lift. We'd left the store by now and both of us were grinning at how similar Qamar and Moon were. Lychee and berries abound with a metallic, mineral note from saffron, giving decidedly 'Western touch' to the otherwise Oriental construct of this perfume. Qamar captures the intricacy and elegance of this marriage with impressive accuracy. Both perfumes were well matched for 5-6 hours. It was only at this point that Qamar started to fade whilst the real oud in The Moon played on: mellow, warm and organic, well into the next day, understandably for the price. Qamar is one of my favourites from Perfume Parlour. Well done!

you feel it perfectly during the first 2 hours, after 3 hours it gets a little closer to the skin, the perfume has a duration of more than 8 hours, I am not an expert in olfactory notes, but if I have to define it in some way it would be like a perfume with red fruits darkened in the drying process.
