Irish Vetiver - 2576

First things first: this one came out of customer feedback on the Perfume Parlour Facebook page. People asked, and Perfume Parlour actually listened and blended it. That deserves proper credit — plenty of houses treat customer suggestions like a suggestion box nailed shut. This lot read the comments, took notes, and produced the thing. More of that please.
And what they've produced is inspired: someone looked at Green Irish Tweed and Wild Vetiver sitting on a shelf next to each other and thought "what if they kissed." Reader, they kissed.
The opening is that bright green blast — bergamot and lemon verbena with a pink pepper prickle — the smell of a freshly mown Irish hillside where nothing bad has ever happened. I sprayed it once and immediately started walking with better posture.
The heart is where the genius shows. I'll be honest, I find the new Wild Vetiver on its own leans a little feminine for my taste — that's not a criticism of the scent, it's a lovely thing, it just tips slightly in a direction I don't quite sit in. Blended here, that's completely resolved. I'm not saying the result is some rugged masculine bruiser, because it isn't and it doesn't need to be — it's simply **balanced**. The green Tweed side gives it structure and freshness, the vetiver gives it soil and depth, and neither one runs off with the show. Violet leaf, geranium and basil hold the middle together beautifully.

The dry down is dry cedar, amber and rooty vetiver warmth. Clean but never soapy, fresh but with actual weight behind it. Smells very expensive.

Performance: absurd. Sprayed in the morning, still there at night, and I'm fairly sure my shirt is now legally a fragrance product.

Verdict: two Creeds' worth of DNA, better balanced than either one alone, for less than the price of the box the real thing comes in. My only complaint is I now have to buy the 60ml, the beard oil (even though I don't have a beard) and probably the Fragrance Dust. 10/10 — and well done to whoever was reading those comments.

Really pleased with this one as purchased blind. Opens with a lovely citrus kick then deepens to a fresh mint smell. Received loads if compliments so will buy the extract next time.

Great scent, but on dry down it smells like Imagination

one of the greatest layering combos of all time!!, I dare you to find a better more complimentary layer combo than this!!! both green fragrances give you light and dark, sweet and masculine, floral and vetiver!!! crazy addictive, I wear this more than aventus now its my new go to and my favorite creed scent to date!!!!
