The title says it all. All I get here is a cheap fake cola smell which personally reminds me of awful girls lip gloss from the 90's.

I've smelt the original in the TF store in London and it smells just as bad. I can't imagine why anyone would pay upward of £250 (£400 -£600 on ebay) to smell of rola cola.

I wanted to base my reviews on more than just an unmeasured opinion, so I have used this method to rate all of my purchases at week 1 (under 7 days after delivery) and after week 4 (generally mentioned ‘maceration’ time). I always spray 2x each side in the clavicle, 1x behind each ear and the back of my neck, never on clothes.

With a total score of 10 equally split between smell and performance.

Smell: 0-5
This is obviously just my own taste

Performance: 0-5
Checked at 1, 2, 3, 5 & 9 hrs)

I can certainly say that, without exception, every scent has improved in performance between weeks 1 & 4 and by week 12 many have developed further with tobacco and other warm notes becoming much richer.

I owned a bottle of the original inspiration some years ago, and ever since the final drop was sprayed I have lamented for it being discontinued. Long I have searched for something similar, and so, though I had my doubts, ended up venturing here to Perfume Parlour to try their version - and hallelujah, joy to my world, my prayer has at last been answered. Bravo and thank you!

A beautiful, wearable perfume.

Genuine, thick, heavy ambers are very hard to one, but this does a very convincing job. It has real roundness, all the stickiness you wand from a classic amber, but without any sweetness. Good resemblance, good performance.

Excellent job, smells very close to the original. Oil projects well and lasts all day

Starts off strong, spiced incense. Beautiful and intense.
Vanilla starts to creep in after a while adding a smooth sweetness.
It is long lasting. Comforting, classy fragrance.
Lasts for hours.

Never tried the original but this is not for me. Gave it to my friend who liked it a lot.

Lovely amber scent a bit one dimensional but very smooth and comforting

This is a very impressive clone....I had the original Tom Ford Amber Absolute before production was stopped....This is 90% accurate to the original, and to be honest once sprayed no one would ever know it's oit an original scent.

Please be aware that its a little lighter than the original, but still very strong and long lasting.... people will notice when you walk into a room.

A lovely smoke filled spicy, woody and vanilla scent.

Great for the dark winter nights

Option Review:10ml Roll On
Amber, spicy, woodsy, vanilla. You can tell this is a very well crafted, classy kind of scent. My favourite amber. I will always have a bottle of this in my collection for the autumn/winter rotation.

Option Review:36ml - Dip Stick
Becareful of ordering the oil as it will leak! Ordered 9 bottles of oil and 4 of them were leaking. Some more, some less. But at least the box smells great haha. Other than that, nice smelling!

Option Review:30ml Spray Extract
this is gorgeous. after 3 months of maceration, this became perfect. as great as the original, this is the best performing scent in my collection. I recommend the extract. Fantastic Job Perfume Parlour. People who doubt that: the formula of is not a hidden thing, it has been published by the perfumer Christophe Laudamiel himself. all that is needed is some maceration and you get a perfect version.

I recently noted that the projection and performance wasn't good, but I take it back now as it seems to be getting better each time I try it. It's not a beast mode fragrance, but it absolutely projects.

To me this smells like a freshly cut resinous log of pine. Very warming and addictive smell, that sadly in it's regular spray form doesn't seem to last long or project all that much. May have to get the Elixir next time.

I bought this one as a 30ml beard oil for my husband and its a lovely warm sweet amber. Projection is also very good too and long lasting. It smells expensive and is identical to TF Amber Absolute. If you love Amber in a scent you really should try this one, Absolutely Stunning!

As a lover of amber perfume this is a fabulous addition to my collection.

Top notes of deep, smokey and resinous incense: a perfect mixture of aromatic frankincense and benzoic, woody Myrrh. Vanillins and pure amber bring sweetness to the back-end of the fragrance. The dry down is sweet but neither gourmand nor sickly - very bold and mature. The benzoic notes here create an ancient and dark olfactory theme like an Old Byzantine church - just mystical.

Have not smelled the original Tom Ford fragrance but can strongly vouch for the sheer quality of ingredients used in this Perfume Parlour rendition

Oil: Sillage - 4/10 (sits quite close to skin), Longevity - 10 to 12 hours+

Spray: Sillage - 6.5/10, Longevity - 4 to 6 hours

I got the Oil. I love this, my wife dislikes it. When I first applied it I thought it was quite weak, but after a while it became really strong, 10 hours later it was still projecting a lovely sweet scent. Worth a try for the price, I would recommend it but be aware some people my not like it so not for the office?

Careful, this is a monster! It lasts for hours if not days. A little too much for my taste but if you love incense and sweet amber then buy this!!
