Superlative - 1877

I think Perfume Parlour is the best imitation available in the market. I have tried other renowned dupes, but PP perfumes surpass them all. I would really praise the perfumer who is reformulating these perfumes; they are doing their job very well. I have the OGs of Tonka, Seraphia, Angel, Paradis, and Amouage Tobacco. All were close to the OG; obviously, they don't last as long and need to be used more frequently. But that is not a big price to pay for a nice smell. They are far better than any competitors in the market.

In my own personal experience dupe fragrances do not seem to last
The potency wears out overtime so I recommend buying smaller bottles more frequently.
With initial sprays, it is very close 99% to the original with notes of old
Very Good projection
Great dry down
And it lasts a good 5 to 6 hours
A lot a lot of comments every time I wear it

So Layton - and by association PP Herb Garden - is one of my all time favourite scents. Something about the PDM dna really works for me, so thought I'd give this a go. Haven't tried the Layton Exclusif yet, but this is nice. I think tbh it needs perhaps to sit for a few weeks, doesn't seem quite there yet to me but it's growing on me. The vanilla has been dialed right back, if not out altogether and the other notes dialed up. It's a more masculine scent, one to see how it develops over time.

An slightly "nicher" and even more masculine take on Layton.
Earthier & richer in an good way, really enticing. I was really excited on how it smelled the first time I tried it, was not expecting it to be this good.
Layton is more mass apealing, however I found I like this one a bit more.

Normally the Superlative 1877 is excellent, my favourite cologne from PP, however, this bottle was deeply unpleasant. Either they've changed the recipe or bottled the wrong aftershave as the scent is unwearable. Felt overly oily and smelt melt like a mix of cumin and cooking fat.

This is just like Layton Exclusif, it's absoloutly gorgous, thank you Perfume-Parlour. x

Es muy sexy y sencillamente encaja con lo que es el original. No es igual, pero no deja de ser espectacular, lo recomiendo al cien huele muy similar y super masculino.

Its manly man fragrance. You may find yourself spontaneously saying things like Grr! And mansplaining the offside rule to herself indoors 😁If you are anything other than a he/him this probably won't be for you. In fact if you're transitioning female to male put this on and you'll be halfway there! (Disclaimer. I am not a doctor) 😂😂😂

As much as i love the original scent profile and i wear it a lot in cooler weather, this one is just a bit more special to me. Original profile is a bigger compliment puller though as this has a darker side with a lot richer woody notes (oud) and less fresh and fruity in the opening. Absolute banger!

Taking my earlier opinions back, actually this is better than original. ParfumeParlour version is better because more "dry" or "semi sweet" than original Layexc. This is not identical replica, but much more mature than original wich is targeted to toddlers.

I have NOT smelled the OG althaire, but, can state that I really like the perfume parlor version of it very much. I am a huge fan of vanilla and tonka bean (like many people) and it combines the base vanilla scent with a little muskiness and what I like to call a "soda pop fizz" vibe....really nice. It seem s alittle "weak" but I think after a few weeks it will mascerate very nicely and get a bit stronger and richer.

I haven't smelt the original, but all I get is dirty wood, and maybe a little vanilla on the drydown, but it's like 5% vanilla imo.
Either love it or hate it, great for layering with others though.

This one is very close to the original. The only thing is, the OG seems stronger in sillage to me. But that may be fixed after some maceration, time will tell. I really like this one because it's a little less sweet than Layton so a little more masculin.
So if you are in doubt .....don't be, just take this one.

This is another amazing take on the Perfume De Marley heavyweight, Leyton.
I love it and I very rarely usually settle on anything that not the genuine version. Well Done to the team at Perfume Parlour this is now one of my staples.

Not even close to the original PDM Layton exclusive! Original is much more smooth and sweeter with it's oud! But this is very good to layer with vanilla and boozy frags like PDM Pegasus or Acqua di Parma Leather.

Batch is from 2021. Good fragrance, but not as good as OG. OG has a creamy sweet oud in the base, which makes it more wearable and this one has a harsh dry nutty oud that is not nearly as nice to smell. Some PPs are extremely close, but this one could be closer as the OG is clearly better.

Very nice fragrance. Manly, floral and animalistic. The notes are spectacular but I wouldn't recommend it to an untrained nose. It is definitely worth the money. People either love it or hate it. A well-suited fragrance for the colder months.

A strong scent of woody notes, followed by oud and touches of animalic. Smells like a forest after it rains on the colder days. Very masculine perfume, slight bitterness, dry and musky vibes. Complimentary for summer but perfect in the fall. Wears well with a tee or dark coloured suits. Long-lasting, easily 12 hours.

Smells reasonably ok but very disappointed with its projection & silage ill say 2/10 the performance is average but sits very close to the skin

So green.My goodness. Herbs, moss , cut grass. Well that’s what I get and it’s beautiful. Have no idea what the inspiration smells like but this is a stunner.

So this is an unusual review. I’m giving this one five stars even though I don’t like it! Yep. Because it is SPOT ON. If you like PdM LE, well, here you go! Amazing accuracy and strength. I just find it a bit limiting on terms of use - but that’s subjective! Objectively it’s right on target. PP is pretty amazing.

Own the original. Has nothing to do with it.

It has a special smell never came across sth like this before, well it doesnt have mint but I smell sth minty and spicy in here, for me 7/10.
