Night Dream - 1879

This one is 50% similar to the OG one but would’ve been more hadn’t it been for the sour rose milk opening which can be repellant but the dry down smells very similar to the OG; it mellows out. Don’t really like Indian Oud as I find it skanky and sour so wouldn’t be buying this again.

I have the original and PP's is getting closer but always less in terms of quality.. honestly for the price, PP may be proud!

Amazing scent

Another FM dupe that really impressed me. Obviously you’re never going to make an identical dupe of a perfume that costs £1285.00, but the quality of the fragrance’s projection & longevity replicates that ‘high end’ scent found in FM. I don’t own the original, but have sampled it in Harrods (more than once!) so I can fairly & honestly give this version 5 stars. It manages to mirror that ‘barnyard’ note, which can only be found with real Oud (Indian Oud in FM to be exact) without being too overpowering, or overwhelming, as the original is when first applied. I’m a lover of Oud, but a heads up if you’re not- this definitely isn’t for you!

Well done for even attempting something like Malle's The Night and getting very close indeed without the crazy pricetag. PP, the dogs danglies od dupes.

Just a bit to heavy a smell

Very strong animalic I think the dry down takes about 4hrs. Very rich and deep.

It's said that Minimalism is one of the hardest of aesthetics and it is certainly true of perfumes. Frederic Malle's The Night is a minimalist concoction of a few carefully chosen organic ingredients and with such minimalism, each ingredient exerts its presence clearly in a balancing act that is bloody hard to achieve. Ropion's The Night carries a heavy price tag for a reason. The Indian oud they use is a difficult source (especially batch after batch) and matured for a year. Night Dream's creators are brave to even try making it with synthetics. The opening with big animalic hit like Ropion's is tantalising. However whilst The Night's animalic settles down to a luxurious jammy Indian oud, a heady yet refined and quintessentially middle-eastern scent of luminous, organic rose, saffron, amber and sandalwood, sadly none of this happens with Night Dream. More than any other perfumes from Perfume Parlour that I've tried, this one feels most synthetic and unbalanced. Not their best, I'm afraid.

Love it , so powerfull , sweet and animalic

Not going to lie I purchased this just to see how close it was to the original and I was very very very very very impressed. !

Never smelled the original and unlikely to at that price. I’ve heard many reviews though and PP’s version seems to correspond with them. This is not for the faint hearted or oud fledgling. It is skanky as hell, barnyard and fecal to the max but it’s quite beautiful once you get accustomed to it. Worth every penny you pay for it here.

Oh my heavens. This starts out like a barnyard. Talk about poopy animalic. But give it 15 minutes and it becomes the most beautiful, complex explosion of a scent. The original costs nearly £1000. Do yourself and your wallet a favour ... buy this one. It is glorious.

Really very good. Totally enchanting, addictive aroma. Super long duration, good projection. 3ml oil. I will probably repeat.

Absolutely fantastic and my favourite fragrance from PP so far. This has a very rich and long lasting fragrance. The smell of Oud and Turkish Rose are very powerful and you do NOT need a lot of this. When it settles, it is absolutely beautiful!!! It smells very expensive if that makes sense?! The only warning I would have is to use sparingly and do not get it on your clothes as I would imagine it will stain. 10/10 and definitely worth the extra (and is still cheap!). 👍
