Fruit Nippon For Women - 1957

Hello. I am actually writing this review in the hopes that you take this feedback into consideration to improve the quality as it used to be. I've been a loyal customer since 2019, and everything used to be received in very good condition. A few months ago, I bought 4 different perfume bottles, and one of them was my Fruit Nippon. This was my fourth time ordering it. However, this time, all the bottles were of bad quality! The first time we opened the lid of each perfume, the metal safety cap that usually covers the neck of the bottle and holds it tight was out and stuck inside the lid. This had caused the bottles to keep leaking. Also, what happened was that because there was no safety cap around the plastic part, the bottle got opened and was spilled inside my purse. I am attaching a picture to show the defective items. Now, concerning the scents and notes, this time also, the fragrances were different from the ones I used to order, and they did not last at all.

This perfume is absolutely stunning. I haven't smelled the OG so I have nothing to compare to. This fragrance is dark and sexy and will definitely turn heads.

Hands down my favourite scent out of all! Never smelled the original but this smells like some heavy, delicious plum wine/alcohol with the woodsy notes. A little bit harsh in the beginning but then it becomes sweeter. Stays on skin and clothes for hours. 100% buying another bottle.

Ah, the elusive Plum Japonaise! I don't know why this is rated as a female fragrance because this is unisex all day long! Sweet nectar like plum notes over beautiful woody base. So good I had to come back and get another bottle!

Wasn’t sure initially about this one, went back to it a week later and love it!

I cannot compare to the original but this scent is gorgeous, starts out ever so slightly aquatic then goes nectar sweet, plummy and has a lovely smokey vibe too. Perfume is very strong. Average longevity. Wish I could smell the original.

I haven't tried the original. I'm a huge fan of Tom Ford. This feels like a Unisex scent. Very nice rich, woodsy, herb, creamy spice with boozy fruit

Excellent job, smells very close to the original. Oil projects well and lasts all day

I have not smelt the OG, but this is fantastic and works for both men and women

Option Review:30ml Spray
I am giving this one great marks because it's a beautiful perfume. However since i have a little bit of the original left, i can't say this one is very close to the OG. It definitely smells like it's inspired by Plum Japonais, but it smells more like a flanker, or an alternative twist. This one is a bit sweeter, while the original is boozier. The original evolves a bit too, while this one is pretty linear. I will most definitely reorder though, as it's wonderful scent in it's own right.

I love this smell. Really think it is great. I have to say though might need to macerate this for a month as doesn't last long at all.

More of a miss, sadly. Not much of JP in there and generally a pretty light scent.

this is a great impression of the scent by PP - this is categorized as a female scent but it can easily be worn by men as well - it makes a great combo with Tobacco Vanille - it gives an extra touch to Tobacco Vanille

Bought out of curiosity and did not expect to like it. Wow, I was so wrong! Beautiful, unusual, complex and intriguing fragrance.

This is amazing! Exactly like the original (I collect Tom Ford) and really long lasting. Smells really expensive!

What a super fragrance. great clone of Tom fords Plum Japonais. performance is excellent, 10 hours plus on skin. On clothes days. Another fantastic fragrance from perfume parlour Thankyou.

50ml spray. Tested this side by side with the original and it’s not very close at all. It opens with a huge candy floss/bubblegum accord much like the one in MFK Bacarat Rouge 540, where as The Tom Ford opens with a huge sweet plum and smokey incense accord. After an hour or so they do get closer but are never really that much alike as the smokey incense accord never really develops in the PP. as a stand alone frag though this is lovely, hence the 5 star review.

I haven’t smelled the original, but OMG this is gorgeous. Its rich and sophisticated without smelling like your trying to hard. And, its very alluring without smelling like you need to be the center of attention. My wife got a random whiff of this and said I smell expensive and sophisticated. She loves it, and so do I. Do not get fooled by the fact that this is labeled a woman’s fragrance. Its unisex, and I would say it leans masculine.

Blind buy as Tom Ford is out of my price range. Like the PP version
