Sweet Substance For Women - 0396

Received this as a birthday present and immediately said to my gf "Oh no you're going to eat me!". It opens with fresh juicy pineapple with a hint of cream, dry down is fruity and floral. Longevity on my skin so far has been about 4 hours but the (extrait) bottle may need to macerate for a bit.

Having smelt the o.g and the extrait , this is definitely similar to the o.g . A stunning fragrance that screams class , strength and style . Bought 15ml extrait got 6/8 hrs of skin with a good 2 hours projection albeit on a very warm day , sure will do better in more mild temperatures. Well done again perfume parlour.

Very pleased with the oils. Fragrance were all spot on and long lasting. Service was great. I placed an order for delivery but wanted to collect in store. I sent an email to ask them to change it and refund the delivery charge. I got a prompt reply to confirm the change and refund. I would highly recommend perfume parlour.

In the best possible way.
It's the ultimate clean scent. Wearing this will make you smell like the freshest and cleanest person in the room. It's so bright and fresh. Like you took a bath in washing powder. Perfect for every day wear as it doesn't scream "perfume". It just screams squeaky clean and fresh.

And yes, it does smell like the original. Just in case you were wondering.

It's so green, fresh, happy and cheerful. It's my second time buying this. I'm obsessed. I hope that they never discontinue this.

The first question you might have, whilst searching for the reviews: Does this smell like the original?
Yes and no.
Let me explain. The original has quite of a strong wood and tobacco note in there. It feels a little smoky, woody and dark.
This interpretation here has all the notes, but it smells a little more like sweet rum or whiskey. I mean that in the best possible way.
The way Angel's Share smells like cognac this one here smells like rum or sweetish whiskey.
As if you opened a bottle of old rum in a gentleman's club library.
I would describe the original in the same way, but with the original you smell the gentlemen's club library more than the rum/whiskey (basically the rum was opened at the table next to you...not at your table). Whilst with this interpretation here the rum was opened right in from of you, whilst you were in the gentleman's club library.

I actually prefer this version as I'm really happy to be able to smell the rum/whiskey more rather than the rest of the notes. That's how I would have wanted the original to smell like. I would have preferred the rum/whiskey as centre, which it gets here.

So if you totally insist of Vintage Essence to smell exactly like the original you won't be happy. But if you're happy with the fact that Vintage Essence smells pretty much like the original just with a stronger rum/whiskey note, then you'll be very pleased.

Spot on Dove soap scent. Or, to be more precise: It smells like the Dove deodorant, original scent. So it has a bit of that deodorant powdery feel in there as well.
Great stuff. You'll smell like the cleanest person on earth wearing this.

The original is ever so slightly less sweet and more green. So basically in the original you smell the bay leaf more and the blackberry less.
Whilst here you smell the blackberry more and the bay leaf less.

Which, to me, is actually improving the scent.

It is such a lovely scent. Fresh, light, summery and feminine. Due to its greenness it might lean towards unisex, which is a good thing in my opinion.

So it's a great interpretation of the original. If you like the original then you will like this one. But if you want this to smell 100& alike then you will be disappointed. But if you're happy to have a sweeter and more playful version of the original, then you'll be very happy with this perfume.
So imagine it as a younger family member of the original. Less mature, less bitter and less green, but slightly lighter and sweet. But still very recognisable as family member.

I'm very happy with it. I actually prefer it to the original.
