Potent Seed - 1051

Nice and strong, not quite a perfect match but close.

This is very similar to FM. Very spicy and earthy. Unisex but leans more masculine, however this is still a fave of mine when layered with vanilla.

I think potent cinnamon would be a more appropriate name for this

Nice n spicy scent that is cinnamon heavy to my nose.

I adore Musc Ravageur but it's so expensive. This PP version is definitely in the ball park, but I find it flirts with turning a sharp corner towards being pungent whereas the original's incense-like scent has a more powdery quality. Just my opinion, but I am wearing both scents to compare as I write this.

As described Potent Seed packs the same punch as Musc Ravageur by FM. A very impressive scent at an impressive price. Perfume Parlour has been a great find, I will be returning. Thank you!

I don't really understand the comments saying this isn't close to the original. To my nose its quite similar. I do smell animalic musk. I also have Meharees by L'erbolario which is considered close to Musc Ravageur, but this one is more similar.

Option Review:13ml Spray
Straight to the facts, you wanna know how close is this to the OG yeah? Don't know about the other reviews but this is so close it's not even funny.

I recently purchased a full 100ml bottle of the OG on a discount - batch 2021. I wore them side by side, tried to apply as equally as possible to be fair.
After maybe 2 minutes, in the air, you cannot tell the difference (well my gf can but she is special in that way).

I would compare this to let's say 2 jars of gerkins: one jar matured for 1 month and the other for 3 months. That's how it would smell, like the OG is just a tad bit more creamier, more long lasting a bit, more full and rounded scent, and more expensive a bit. Just joking, it's more than a bit :)) This difference can only be felt in the drydown after many hours ~6hrs, when the PP is barely there and the OG is still a creamy concentrated smell.

PP came so close with this one, that now I have been put in a dillema. Should I sell my OG bottle (the scent is like a love hate love, and I am at the hate stage right now, maybe in the winter it will change), maybe keep 10ml for special occasions or sell half and diminish my losses and keep the bottle (it's a pretty bottle).

One thing is for sure, the scent is so close it is redundant (pointless) to keep both, and for the price performance, I know I'm sticking with PP.

I have to be honest, after 2 minutes the only way to distinguish this from the OG, is having them smell side by side, and even then it's very hard.
I am not joking, if I would be blindfolded I would have a hard time discerning which is which.

Don't know about the other reviews, maybe PP worked on the formula more but, this is as close as you can get to the OG, I was shocked and for this price it's a steal.

Now I'm faced with the dilemma of returning the OG I just bought on discount, sell half to minimise my losses or keep it to have both.

In the end I want to mention that the only reason I have bought the OG is because my partner can tell the difference between them (a thing I cannot do) and she appreciates the drydown of the OG better (and ofc the discounted offer).
To my nose, it is 99% the same scent, I don't think I can keep the OG knowing this. If it would of been more animalic, I think I would keep both and combine them, but as it stands, I see no reason to have both.

Great fragrance even if it isn’t too close to the original, still worth getting for everyday use. Nice, comforting smell, can’t go wrong.

This time PP version is just vague similar to the orignal, but it's not just that. To me It's unbalaced to the cloves and cinnamon, the original is a lot more smooth and round. Maybe you can like as it is a heavy cloves frag, but if you compare with the original this time I can't say spot on anyhow. Try it you may like it, but my review is about similareties and as personal taste I just don't like it. Sorry PP

I own the original and was curious to see how close PP got to it. The opening isn’t quite as animalic as the original, but after a few minutes there’s no discernible difference. The animalic note is there and blend of cinnamon, clove and vanilla is spot on. Nice one PP, nice one indeed.

very similar and nice attempt to the original. Spicy and clovy; projection is nice ( put it on secret spots of my dark t-shirt and end of my hair and they smell lovely). I recommend it if you like sweet and spicy fragrance. Based on 3 ml oil.

Vanilla and cinnamon - like vanilla coke underpinned by snuggly musk. Absolutely delicious in winter. Highly recommended.

The original fragrance (I had a sample) was rather weak on my skin, PP oil is a powerhouse and spot on. Musk, cinnamon, clove, lavender, amber, vanilla... PP.: A+! for this oil. Thank you for making this unpayable niche available for fragrance lovers who are not billionaires. Top!

Highly impressed with this version of my favourite! I got an oil sample and for the initial couple of minutes it smells a little different to Musc Ravageur, but when it warms up it is absolutely spot on! In fact, it smells much more like the original pre-reformulation version, before it got thinnned out and made more polite! I shall be ordering the spray very soon - bravo!

This IS Musc Ravageur from Frédéric Malle, this musk / fruitly and floral oil is delightful and sunny, rich and dense, with a good longevity (8 hours on my skin). However, it is less powerful, has less projection, whereas the original is a beast, and may choke your friends.
