Japanese Magic For Women Rare Perfume - 0911

I have just received the perfume ...and sadly it has hardly anything to do with Mitsouko.
There might be 2 or 3 similar notes but it is far far away from the original.
It is not unpleasant but it is just not it by a mile.

No staying power and no resemblance to mitsuko at all.very dissapointed.

If I had reviewed the oil when it first arrived I
would have given only 1 star because it gave a blast of ammonia then disappeared completely.
I almost sent it back.
Instead, I left it in drawer for a month before testing again and what a difference!
I used the og decades ago and the unmistakable mitsouko dna is there. I've knocked off a star because it's not strong, the oil is missing the juicy top notes and jumps straight to dry down, but that's OK because this dry down is the smell of the vintage, pre-reformulation juice.

Sorry, they just don’t smell remotely like the orginals. Not are they a pleasant separate smell. I’m glad I only ordered the samples. Now I have to try and gift them to someone, but so far nobody has been keen

Mitsouko has long been my favourite perfume. I couldn’t imagine that anyone could replicate it, but this is amazing. Just like the real thing. I have even had comments from strangers asking what it is! Superb.

I have been a fan of Mitsouko for many, many years. This one smells so like the original, even as it gradually fades. Quite an achievement to capture this complex perfume. It is so long-lasting, even with the spray I bought. Would definitely buy again.

I confirm the reviews. It is Mistouko from Guerlain, a thick and rich one (because it is an oil), with good longevity (more 8 hours on my skin). It is unisex fragrance, a man can wear it. The amount of oak moss is nice. A high-end quality blend from Perfume Parlour.

As a regular user of the original; I tried this in the spray first, and then the roll on. Not much like the original on sniffing the bottle and then, when you first apply it, you recognise the scent immediately and as it warms to your skin, the likeness is undisputable, lasting more on me, in the roll on. Definately will purchase again.

This is not a signature scent of mine, but I know the modern re-jigged Mitsouko formula is nowhere near the sillage power of the grand old dame Mitsouko. For anyone who wants to know what the original smelled like, this is a reasonable facsimile, and for the price, well, who could argue!

I bought this for my Mum. Mitsouko (along with other spicy classics) is one of her all time favorite perfumes. By coincidence, she was wearing Mitsouko today when I gave her the oil to try... She dabbed a little on her unadorned wrist and after a few minutes we both sniffed. We were both very impressed with it's likeness!

This Mitsouko is an old and bad-tempered reflection of the young Mitsouko. She has the furrowed brow, a wrinkled face, greying hair and is colder and more reserved. This Mitsouko is dressed in heavy oakmoss that brings to mind an overgrown tomb on a rainy day. She doesn't want to be owned and cuddled and she doesn't want you to come near and sniff her. To liven up, she needs time, breathing room, and the warmth of human skin. Only then will she gradually start opening up and comfort you with her quiet, modest wisdom and beauty.
Boyfriend called her a "strong smell", but he also liked her soft sweetness on a good day. However, this Mitsouko can be unpredictable and not everyone is her type.

I love the original and I have to say that PP's version is a very close interpretation. I'll buy this one again. Very nice indeed.

I too am a fan of Guerlain perfumes but I cannot afford the real thing anymore. This Mitsouko is very very good.Will buy more

Mitsouko. . .

Is different, when applied it can smell slightly unusual, give it 40 minutes and its dramatic how it changes. It can start Dark but then becomes very subtle.

Not one for the Britney or Beyonce fans out there, this is for C***** or Tom Ford fans - a classy scent that is close to the original which is not cheap. So try this at a fraction of the cost, you cant lose.

For a Guerlain fan such as myself, I was curious to find out if this perfume was anything like the original, and for a regular user of Mitsouko, I can categorically tell you that it is a perfect likeness. The Guerlain Mitsouko maybe last me a tiny bit longer.....5-6 whereas the PP version is marginally shorter, 3-4.... which considering the price difference, it doesnt really bother me that much. I will continue to buy this from PP as I believe it to be the best version I have found, and so much cheaper than the real version.....why pay more?
