I'm going to have to stop blind buying Roja D inspired scents. Three so far, and of the many pp testers I've tried they are my least favourite.
With this I at least knew to expect a less female oriented version of mitsouko and that's exactly what it is. Hence the 4 stars. But why would anyone want to turn a sweet juicy plum into a strong savoury prune?
It's like a miserable menopausal Mitsouko in need of HRT and a course of antidepressants.
The only hope for this is to overspray it with O de Lancome and let the lemon bring it to life. Impossible for me to wear it otherwise.
Really, really not for me.

Not quite made my mind up about Impresario yet. Not sure if it is the massive amount of ingredients that goes into making this. It's just so hard to pick out individual notes in this because there are over 30.

Not only that Roja's little gem is so so hard to recreate,it is a very tricky and complex concoction...PP did it masterfully!!Had the original and they are practically the same scent!
Edp was a bit more expensive mind you,if you're ordering to EU,but it is well worth it!!

We compared Impressario side by side with Dighilev in London and I have to confess it was with low expectations. This was not a copy of perhaps a less complicated high street perfume but one of Roger Dove's masterpieces, one he took ages to create with no less than 31 scent ingredients. Yes, the perfumes are not identical but what Perfume Parlour have managed to do with aplomb is capture the very essence of the original and they ought to be proud of this achievement. They've captured the decadent elegance, the chypre from a bygone era that feels almost dated: florals like rose and tuberose with woods and patchouli. I almost winced when I first smelled Diaghilev wondering if it was better for my grandad. But it's the unlikely herbs, spices and citrus that take it to the modern day, feeling relevant and contemporary, confident and certainly very formal. I love it. Well done, Perfume Parlour!

Smelled the real one today and im at a loss for words since this one smells 95% identical. The pricegap is like 950 euros. Unbelievable lol.

This is a beautiful scent with a strong opening which calms down quite quickly. But even after 7 hours it is still a wonderful skinscent.

An amazing fragrance, so complex and sophisticated... wow! I happen to own the original Diaghilev by Roja, and though some subtle details are different, it gives you a clear impression of the original. Bravo!

I have no basis for what the real Roja Dove smells like. The quality of this blend is amazing! True time machine material. Kind of a Golden Fleece in the true art of vintage style perfumery! This is an amazing Chypre style perfume. One has to have a better than mediocre nose for this! Wow!!! Not that my nose is anything special! Far from it. Lol
